Yeah, that’s what I thought.

I just saw a post on my Facebook that one of my favorite fantasy authors, David Eddings, has died.

My former High School Speech Coach (his sister-in-law) posted the news earlier this afternoon, and I was greatly saddened by the news. He had suffered a stroke earlier this year and was in the hospital.

David Eddings wrote some really good Fantasy series back in the 1980s and 1990s, especially his first one, “The Belgariad”. His later works I didn’t care for as much, but I can’t remember how many times I reread the earlier ones.

It’s always a sad day when an author you care about finally goes away. He will be missed.

Okay, so that last theme didn’t last very long. I’m not sure how long this one will last either. I’m not necessarily going to keep making new posts here every time I change, but if you see one you particularly like (or loathe), please feel free to comment here. I’m beginning to suspect there is no one theme that’s going to make me 100% happy, but if I can get to 90-95% happy, that will likely be good enough.
